FIFTH INTERNATIONAL DAM WORLD CONFERENCE

Dear Colleague,

We are pleased to announce and invite you to the Fifth International Dam World Conference (DW2025), which will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from 13 to 17 April 2025. The  National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (LNEC) will host the Conference, which will be co-organised by LNEC, the Portuguese National Commission on Large Dams (CNPGB) and the Brazilian Commission on Dams (CBDB).

The DAM WORLD Conference series aims to be a privileged forum for sharing knowledge, research experiences, and identifying innovative and emerging trends in dam engineering. As usual, we expect to bring scientists, engineers, organisations, central and local authorities, companies, and young professionals together for a remarkable experience and to enjoy Portuguese hospitality in a safe and friendly environment.

We would like to inform you that online abstract submission is now open. Prospective authors are invited to submit an abstract via DW2025 ConfTool Platform on selected  Themes and Topics. Abstracts should be about 300 to 350 words in length. There is no special format for abstracts, except that these should be written in clear English, stating the aims of the paper, and indicating any preliminary findings. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 30 July 2024. Full papers will need to be submitted by 29 November 2024. All papers will be blind peer-reviewed. Only those papers that have been accepted will be scheduled for presentation at the Conference. Instructions on how to submit your abstract is available in the Authors webpage.
